Mine look nothing like your one. No borders, no measurements, no kb and all stretched, as you said. I knew my way of doing it was too easy to be right!
My DVDs open in Intervideo WINDVD, which has a control panel underneath the screen. This means I can't have the full screen up if I want to take screencaps.
The control panel has a button for "capture." The screencap then shows up on a small panel which allows me to copy the screencap. All the screencaps go into a WINDVD file as bitmap images, in "My Pictures." folder. I then convert them using Fastone Image Viewer and load them to my scrapbook.
